E-fiction Book Club Closes
We don't really have a forum for news, so I'm putting this here as being under the "Tales of Woe" category. E-fiction Book Club has closed down.
Sadly my technical skills are not up to the task of running the site, and I don't have the time or the cash to resurrect it.
I would like to thank you for your support in the past. I still believe there is a niche out there for a community site dedicated to promoting e-fiction works and authors, to encourage small publishers who are branching out into the medium of the electronic book and the many variations.
I want to thank the members for their time, effort and enthusiasm for what was a very intensive project. Without them, the club would never have made it out of my head.
Merrilee goes on to say the old wordpress efbc site will remain open, and links to it.
Oh crap! This is terrible news! I would offer to host it gratis, but that way I don't think they'd ever be able to do my books without it looking tit-for-tat. what to do, what to do...
@MeiLin I'm considering helping take it on as well. I don't ahve to worry about tit-for-tat... I don't really write much. XD
Aww man! I had high hopes for this thing. D:
Wow - that's really sad to hear. It was a great project.
I hope they can resurrect it at some point.
Bummer. I'd been enjoying the site--both of them.
Merrilee and Co. were doing such a great job with it.
Very, very sad. I really valued the honesty of the reviews there. It's a rarity in the self-published community.

This makes me really sad, as I'd only just discovered the site. I hate to see ventures fail, especially since it was obvious that Merrilee and the gang put a lot of time & heart into it.
